 Dr. Brown has been a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) since 1985. As South Carolina AGD’s Secretary /Treasurer, he restructured the governance, developed written policies, and hired the first Executive Secretary to handle the business of the association. He was the SCAGD PACE approval officer and web master. Regionally he was Editor, Delegate, and vice chair and currently is Region 19 Trustee. Dr. Brown has had multiple publications in AGD Impact, served on the Communications Council, and was a presenter at Leadership Conference.
Dr. Brown is an author of the AGD White Paper on Access, testified before CODA on Workforce issues, represented AGD’s issues at the ADA, served on the 4 on 4 AGD /ADA Trustee summits, was on the steering committee for the AGD outreach project in New Orleans, and was nominated for the “Humanitarian of the Year” award in 2005 for work with Katrina victims...READ MORE |
